These pages document my effort to build a Linux based, commodity hardware cctv system for vehicles. The system I designed and built is for installation on buses – double decker buses actually – but there is no reason why this information can’t be used to build a cctv system for any other type of vehicle.
I started work on designing and building the cctv system around May 2010 – and about May 2011 the system has been installed on the bus – and it’s been running ever since. After sorting out the initial issues, it has been running without any further intervention.
